GoQuo successfully integrates CAT35 facilities for Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre and Worldspan

GoQuo became one of the first travel technology firms to successfully integrate the CAT 35 ATPCO functionalities of all Global Distribution Systems(GDS) present in the UK.

CAT 35 is a format used by airlines to distribute net fares to the travel trade direct to the travel firms’ individual pseudo city code (PCC) of their respective GDS. CAT 35 is expected to revolutionise the travel trade as it aims to phase out distributing paper contracts which, until now, is still considered the industry standard for fare distribution. Vigorously supported by major airlines, the new system aims to streamline the cost of formulating and distributing net contracts as airlines feed relevant pricing information directly to their partners. CAT 35 also aims to reduce the amount of ADMs imposed by airlines to their partners as it engenders more accuracy in fare quoting and issuance.

According to Dasun Weeransinghe, Development Manager of GoQuo: “Successfully integrating CAT 35 fares became a priority for GoQuo as we took note of the number of airlines which are adapting to this new type of fare distribution. As we work with flight consolidators and with travel agents, it is essential for us to do this integration for our clients so that our clients can continually have a competitive edge over their competitors. “

With its CAT 35 success, GoQuo’s system became one of the very first travel online booking system providers to simultaneously sell published, CAT 35 and net fares (paper contract fares) in its flight and its dynamic packaging systems. With the standard revenue management system that comes as standard to ALL of GoQuo’s booking system, this integration provides an even greater opportunity for flight consolidators to increase their market share and revenue by making all possible contracts accessible accurately online.
